Into Cowes

Down to Cowes. Don't normally venture into the harbour but as it was quiet I had a quick sail inside before leaving to the east. These photos are all of the west side as the sun was very low and bright in the east.
Out in the Solent this yacht overtook, running free with a reefed main. Turned out to be the "Cape Breton Island" which participated in the 2009-10 Clipper Round the World Challenge. The patched mainsail looks like it was the one used during the race. The name and Canadian flag denotes that the yacht was sponsored by Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
A closer look.
Red Funnel's Red Jets 4 and 5 passing at high speed.
And the large vehicle carrier "Maersk Wind" moving slowly up towards Southampton
